Valmet -New Distributed Control System Launch
Valmet Automation required a clear, cohesive brand concept for the launch of their new Distributed Control System. The goal was to craft an umbrella concept, including sparring on potential names, key visuals, and messaging that would guide the product rollout. The brand needed to convey innovation, consistency, and relevance across all business units and markets.

Concept Development & Creative Direction
- Naming Strategy: We facilitated brainstorming sessions and developed a selection of alternative names that captured the essence of the new system. The aim was to ensure the name reflected Valmet’s core values while resonating with their audience.
- Key Concept & Visual: We crafted a central concept that would visually and thematically explain the new DCS. This included creating the main visual identity that would serve as a foundation for the product’s branding and marketing efforts and the brand film.
- Briefing Agencies and Partners: Acting as Valmet’s creative lead, we guided external agencies and partners in executing the concept. This ensured alignment with the creative direction and brand narrative.
Deliverables
- Chosen Name: The selected name, Valmet DNAe, for the new system, representing the brand's innovation and vision.
- Concept & Key Visual: A compelling story and visual framework that effectively conveys the benefits and uniqueness of the system.
- Messaging Hierarchy: Developed in partnership with a copywriter, this structure highlights the key benefits and differentiators across Valmet’s business units.
- Brand Film: Visually appealing and informative Brand Film that would both as promotional and sales tool to explain the main benefits of the new DCS.
